Nutrition drives in Bengaluru.

Nutrition drives and shared meals, because nobody learns hungry. Ration kits go to families, and whenever we bring the children together there’s a proper meal. Drives are one-off days, so come when you can.

What happens

Kits for families, lunch for everyone.

Drives and distributions are one-off days, so come when you can. Each one is listed on the dashboard with its date and area.

  • Ration kits

Groceries for a family’s month, packed on packing days and taken to families by our Optimists.

  • Distribution days

Volunteers hand out the kits and nutrition packs in the communities we work with.

  • Shared meals

A proper meal whenever we bring the children together. In 2025–26 the biggest one in Bengaluru was at Kalakriti 2.0, where hundreds of children ate together, many still in costume.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Who can volunteer at a nutrition drive?

Anyone aged 18 or over. You don’t need any experience; turning up matters most.

How much time do I need to give?

Drives and distributions are one-off days, so come when you can.

When and where are the drives?

Each drive’s date, time and area is listed above and on the dashboard. Most of our Bengaluru sessions are in south-east Bengaluru, around Bellandur and Iblur, and you get the exact meeting point once you’re approved.

How do I sign up?

Register on the dashboard, tap “Show interest” on a drive, and come along once you’re approved.

What are the rules with the children?

Every session with children starts with a short briefing, nobody is ever alone with a child, and please don’t photograph the children yourself. Food and gifts go through us, never to one child, so every child gets the same. Read all the safeguarding rules.

Can my company run a ration-kit drive?

Yes. Your team packs groceries for a family’s month, or buys them through us, and our Optimists get them to families. Plan a drive.

Can I help without volunteering?

You can donate towards food for our drives and festival lunches. Every gift gets an 80G tax receipt by email.
