Proud Indian is run by volunteers we call Optimists. Most weekends we’re with children in Bengaluru’s low-income communities: maths and English classes, art, shared meals, and one big festival a year.
Once a year, Kalakriti gives children from our communities one full day of arts and culture, with a stage of their own and an audience cheering them on.

Days that bring everyone together: Gift a Smile, outings for the children, and volunteering days with companies that pitch in.
Bring a few free hours and some patience; the children bring the rest. Most sessions are at weekends in neighbourhoods across Bengaluru, and no experience is needed.
Your gift buys class materials and art supplies, food for our drives and festival lunches, and Gift a Smile gifts and outings. It also helps put on Kalakriti each year.
